f f f Friday

Evening all,

The end of another long week (of not seeing much of Daddy). Long office hours, a 'gig' on Wednesday and last night, some 'leaving drinks' for a couple of old friends of his who are moving to Australia soon - Mardi, Graeme and Zac are moving in about a month, so I hope I get to meet them before they head off!

Two nice things from today:

1. Daddy came back from work VERY early this morning, but it was only a flying visit to bring lots of boxes home from the office. I hope they don't move me into the loft to keep Daddy's pictures and CDs in my room... ; )

2. He did also get to leave work early today once he'd packed up another 10 crates ready for the move to his new work address, so I saw him from about 3:30pm when we went to Ikea to buy me a wardrobe (at last!).

I have also started getting in some early practice at standing up - see pic attached (Mummy's hand just out of shot).

That'll do for tonight. Sleep well,

Samx

it's late

...but I thought I'd do a quick post to say "hi" to David and Joy and let them know it was lovely to meet them today. short but sweet I know, 'cause it's waaaaaay past my bedtime and I'm worn out (again) by all the fun I'm having.

group shot attached, ciao for now,

Social butterfly

Evening all,

Well, what an eventful day I've had. This afternoon I had my first proper bout of 'the giggles' when Daddy invented a game called "drop the keys". It's pretty simple, he picked up his house keys, jangled them a bit and then dropped them into a big open book. Not sure why I found it so funny but I did, so much so that they got the camera out (again) and recorded a clip of it (but I wasn't giggling so enthusiastically by that point...). Still - all good fun.

After that I was tied to the car seat again for a little adventure / journey. It was what the grown-ups were calling "round two of three" - we went to Uncle Matt (& Anna's but she's away) today so they could eat more pizza and drink more of that red stuff that looks like Ribena, but they won't let me try...

Also in attendance were Catherine, Dan and Isla (see pic). Isla's two weeks younger than me so we had a lot to discuss and we even compared screams for a while.

I had a great time, and we didn't get home until after dark, so I've had a bottle, a bit of boob and am just about ready for bed.

So nighty night,

Sxx

PS - I'm looking forward to tomorrow as Great Uncle David and Great Aunty Joy are visiting. They live a long way away (usually) so it's nice that they're coming to meet me...

New week

Well, I am definitely over my horrible bug, so yesterday mummy took me to the baby clinic to be weighed for the first time in over a month. I am now 15lb 1oz which is apparently very good and means I am still on track. I had another good nights sleep too, so am ready for the day ahead. I think I'm going for a walk with mummy this afternoon as it's not cold or raining today, yey!

twice in one day...

...I spoil you (all five of you!) I really do.

Went to Monty's - LOADS of people there, they were all lovely and very pleased to see me (especially Nuala, Monty's older sister. She said she wants to be my sister!). Lots of little boys running around making lots of noise, a little dog called Mitzi and a baby (Dillon) even younger than me...

This evening's pic is of Monty and his Mum Julia.

In even better news, I've not done a pooh since the wee small hours of this morning so I think I'm finally cured!! Am knackered though, spent an hour and a quarter asleep on Mum then Dad today (sharing sleep duties, how sweet of them).

Nighty night,

Sx

it's Sunday.

Yesterday was Valentine's Day, and we went for a walk in the park. Daddy fed the birds with some bread and we saw squirrels, dogs, lots of birds and a brown rat. Daddy tried to get a photo but it was too fast for him...but he did get some pics of me with Mummy. Will put one on here if I can.

Going to a party later - Monty next door is three tomorrow(?), also growing older next week: Lynne, Corrin, Andy and Jez, so Happy Birthday to one and all.

love,

Samx

ps - health check update - am still not fully recovered, went the quacks and he just checked to see I was eating ok and hadn't lost any weight and then said "it'll pass in due course" *sighs*...

still ill

Dad tells me that the title of this post will mean something to fans of The Smiths, but I think it's a reference for oldies.

To me, it simply means that I'm still pooping more often than I'd like / I should, so think it's time to visit the docs tomorrow to get me put right. I'm still feeling alright within myself and have just spent 10 minutes teaching Mum some baby-speak / squeek (she's not catching on so well, but give it time), but I just want to be back to my usual self... not too much to ask is it?

Mum and Dad even missed William and Coman's wedding party on saturday 'cause of me... it must be love.

And on that musical note I'll clock off and get my head down for a few hours and see what the new day brings.

Love to all, especially Aunty Dawn, Uncle Andy and cousin's Jack and Cole in Australia...

Today's pic is an oldie but goody.

(It's Mummy from when she was younger than I am now)

Sunday sickie

Despite having a better daytime yesterday, where I was almost back to "normal", in the night I was more like the previous week so Mummy didn't get a great nights sleep at all. Daddy got slightly better but then he usually does (must be that funny noise he makes when he sleeps that helps keep him out).

Either way, not only do I have my virus, I now seem to have a cold and it was my snotty / bunged up nose that interfered with my sleep. Ewww.

Sunday and I'm not so happy today either. Wish I knew what it was... looking on the bright side it probably means I can't have my next injections tomorrow morning.

Hey ho, nearly lunch time (for the big people) so I'll sign off for now...

Here we go...

Sam's blog, day one.

I'm lying next to my Dad as he types this on my behalf (I'm dictating)...

I turned four months old this week. Happy Birthday me!! 18 weeks old today.

Mum and Dad say that's a quarter of a year. Wow, time really does fly. Although I've not been having that much fun this week as I've had a virus. Been much more nowty (?) than usual and needing my nappy changed more often (I'll spare you the details).

It snowed on Monday. A lot. Shame I wasn't up to going out to play in it, it looked like a lot of fun.

Gonna learn how to post photos soon and show you more of my world, but for now, I'll sign off as I need to practice turning over onto my stomach.
