Greetings my esteemed family & friends

Hi everyone,

Wow have we had a busy weekend?! On Friday, Grandma Anthea and Grandad Tony came to stay for a couple of nights and we've all had a (tiring but) fantastic time.

Yesterday we went to Windsor for the day 'cause Anthea & Tony had only seen the Oakley Court hotel (where Mum & Dad got married) before now and Anthea really wanted to see the town centre etc... Sadly we just didn't have time to visit Uncle Phil & Aunty Debbie and the girls, on what was the day of Izzy's First Holy Communion, but I'm sure they had an equally amazing day.

As we arrived in Windsor we went across the river into Eton to a pub for lunch (I was starving) and then wandered back into town to have a look at the Long Walk where I had a kick about with a young boy called Miles and his Daddy (and being Windsor, I'm sure it was "Daddy")... After this we wandered down the shopping street a little while with Grandad Tony looking for a straw hat to keep the sun off his head (he was, at the time, wearing an old beastie Boys baseball cap of Dad's!) and by this time I'd done an awful lot of running around and was about ready for the journey home.

In the evening I had a lovely bath and went to bed by 8.00pm but all weekend I've had trouble getting off to sleep so Mummy's been very helpful in that area (I think it may be the heat).

Today we went to Kew Gardens (thanks to Catherine & Dan, Mummy & Daddy got in free!) - the last time these four olds were there the weather wasn't so great. It was today!!! Photos of all of this later...

We had another good wander 'round and I had a snooze for about an hour and a bit and Daddy and Grandad Tony went up on a really high walkway to see the views from the treetops! Again we had a spot of lunch whilst out and about but came home at about 3pm so Granny & Grandpa could hit the long road home to Lincolnshire.

To take my mind off the grand-folks leaving, Mummy had the great idea of getting my paddling pool out which I believe was it's first use as an outdoor, water-'filled' item (it has, until now been used as a ball-pond in my bedroom). And what a splashing time I had!

Anyway - enough of my ramblings, I'm sure you're all thinking "where's all these pictures then?"... so here goes.

Night night (hope I sleep tight - in this heat!), love,

Sam

Twice? On a Thursday?

Dad found this the other day - my second scan, which he'd never had scanned in, at the time. Then today, he found it on his desktop in work and got the lovely Mr Skidmore to scan it for us (thanks Richard) and when he got this attachment, he noticed the original date... Spooky.

Tuesday catch up

...dedicated to Carolyn in Daddy's work for nagging him about adding more photos and videos (sorry - no new videos worth adding today!)...

This weekend we went to Liverpool for a bit of a break (and because we couldn't go at easter 'cause I was ill) from Thursday 'til Monday and had a great time seeing lots of family and friends (although not as many as we'd like!).

The olds had their fun without me too - on Friday Daddy went out to see Cherry Ghost (follow link for free song) and didn't get home until late (nearly 2am) so I woke him up early on Saturday morning to show him how much I missed him...

And on Saturday Mummy and Daddy went out to another gig and left me with Granny Jean, but we coped just fine without them (eventually)!

On Sunday morning we went for a walk down to Waterloo beach to see the Anthony Gormley statues (see first pic) but I was asleep throughout so have yet to experience my first coastline, maybe next time?!

And on Sunday afternoon we had lots of family 'round to Granny Jean's for nibbles and drinks - big shout out to Grandad Ozz, Uncle Ian & Aunty Sarah, Uncle Ste, Aunty Lisa and cousins, Kate and Steph (see us legging it 'round Granny Jean's back garden). And huge, special thanks to Granny Jean for putting on a great spread and putting up with us all for the day!

I'll try to do another 'word update' at some point this week, but safe to say I'm yabbering like a good 'un...

Lots of love,

Samantha

Monday night update

Hi all,

Today's actually a bank holiday, so I've had both of the folks in all day - and what an exciting day - we went swimming!! We went to the local baths and I was in the water for well over half an hour and I had a splashing time! Thankfully we got out when we did 'cause whilst we were getting changed, we heard that they had to evacuate the smaller pool because some little tyke left a no. 2 in there. Ewww

Anyway, will write more as and when I get a sec, but for now - sweet dreams...
