New Year's Eve

Hi all,

It's Saturday and we're just back from Liverpool. Many thanks to Granny Jean for looking after us for over a week and to EVERYONE for your ridiculous generosity with our Christmas presents. I was spoilt rotten!!

We were actually going to go home yesterday, but the weather was terrible and Mum & Dad felt like they hadn't quite caught up with everyone they wanted to, so we stayed an extra night and the olds snuck out for a drink last night once I'd gone to bed. In at 1am! At their age!!

So... what else have we done this week, I hear you ask?

Well on Monday - Boxing Day - we went to Coronation Park to see Lynne, Freya and Reuben, then we all went back to Granny Jean's for a cup of tea / a play with some Christmas presents...!

Then on Tuesday, we went to see Linda, Lee and their two kids, Adam (3 and a half) and Amy (8 months) and we had a great laugh. Dad said Adam wore him out, but I think he enjoyed himself really... and after that we went to Grandad Ozz's for a small soiree (that's a party to the non-French out there) with Mum, Dad, me, Granny Jean, Uncle Ian and Aunty Sarah and of course, Ozzie (and I didn't go to bed until after 9pm!).

On Wednesday we went for lunch at the Punchbowl (we've been before you may remember) and even though it was very busy, we got a table, the food was lovely and I was a very well behaved young lady.

Thursday saw Uncle Mario come to visit with Ava and Maddison, but Vicky was working and the girls' big sister Emily was staying at her Aunty Carmelina's.

And on Friday, we went to the indoor play area on Victoria Road (see pics) for an hour or so (was great) followed by a trip to the very rainy / windy beach at Hall Road (ditto).

So - on to the photos, and I'll end by wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

Christmas is getting closer!

Last Friday was our nativity / carol concert at my nursery and I was a cow! I did my bit in typical under-stated style and gave a classy performance. I think I'll definitely have more of a "method" style to my future acting career.

Here's a few snapshots of the weekend that was... enjoy!

December 2

Setlist for bedtime singsong;

I Can Sing A Rainbow
Sing A Song Of Sixpence
One, Two, Three, Four, Five (Once I Caught A Fish Alive)
The Grand Old Duke Of York
Jack And Jill
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Other current faves;
I Saw A Mouse... (Dad - full lyrics below)
Ten Green Bottles (Mum)

A mouse lived in a windmill in old Amsterdam
A windmill with a mouse in and he wasn't grousin'
He sang every morning "How lucky I am
Living in a windmill in old Amsterdam".

(Chorus)
I saw a mouse -- where? There on the stair
Where on the stair? Right there
A little mouse with clogs on -- well, I declare
Going clip-clippety-clop on the stair - oh yeah

This mouse, he got lonesome, he took him a wife
A windmill with mice in, it's hardly surprisin'
She sang every morning "How lucky I am
Living in a windmill in old Amsterdam"

(Chorus)

First they had triplets and then they had quins
A windmill with quins in, triplets and twins in
They sang every morning "How lucky we are
Living in a windmill in Amsterdam -- ya"

(Chorus)

The daughters got married and so did the sons
The windmill had christenings when no one was listening
They all sang in chorus "How lucky we am
Living in a windmill in old Amsterdam"

(Chorus)

A mouse lived in a windmill, so snug and so nice
There's nobody there now but a whole load of mice
