Lazing on a sunny afternoon...

Today is the last day of May and we went for a picnic in the park where I got to practice my walking steps and looking lovely in the sunshine. See pics above & below...

Also today I've started to perfect my forward crawl (on the floor not in the water!) and been putting a list together for you to enjoy.

Things I like: Mum & Dad, crawling, learning to walk & talk, waving, my funky walker, strawberry yoghurt, playing with the football.

Things I don't like: sleeping for too long, having my face wiped, running out of food.

There's loads more where this came from so I'll add more as and when I think of them.

Enjoy the pictures, maybe speak later...

Home again

Mummy and I are just back from a whistle-stop, midweek trip to Liverpool - 2 nights only - back down south and safely tucked up in bed.

We saw Grandad Ozz, Granny Jean, Uncle Ian & Aunty Sarah, Uncle Steven, Aunty Lisa and the girls and Aunty Linda, Uncle Lee & their little fella Adam who's just turned one last week.

Mummy may add more details tomorrow, but for now, some photos!

New toy

So we made it to Mothercare today and I've got myself a new car seat that I think I'm going to try out tomorrow with a trip up north! It's a "big girls" one so I'm getting proper grown up now.

8 months old next week, and (apologies if I've written this before) I'm also getting into dancing. Admittedly I'm still sitting down but I can shake my booty to many a CeeBeebies TV theme!

Tonight's photo is one of the happier ones of me trying out my new purchase : )

Evening all,

Monday Monday

Another "bank holiday" today - as i said below, Mario, Vicky & the tribe came to visit and we had such a busy day...

This included a trip to the Tropical Forest at Syon House where we saw all sorts of animals including a tarantula, a scorpion, two lizards, two crocodiles - a small one and a slightly larger one - and three snakes, a HUGE python, an anaconda (who was in a bad mood so had to be replaced by a...) boa constrictor - which is the one you can see me touching in one of todays pictures - no fear!

We also had a run around Elthorne Park and our tea in The Royal...

Am shattered now so off to bed, sleep well, I hope I do.

Only after dark

Sleeping again, didn't make it to Mothercare (Mum & Dad didn't think they could face it on a Sunday/ bank holiday weekend).

Apparently we did go to the park, though I slept through the whole thing, so you'll have to take my word for it. This evenings photo is me en route - the life of Riley or what?

Have a great rest of weekend, love,

Sam

it's daylight

...and I'm posting a blog! Check those teeth out!

Sunday morning and am off for a nap in a sec, but just wanted to say what a gorgeous day it is outside right now - clear blue skies, lovely...

Had a nice day yesterday - took a walk up to Ealing Broadway and there was so much to look at I didn't even have a nap until the journey home. Mummy let me taste her Belgian chocolate cornflake cake (cake?) in Starbucks and everything!

Today we're going to the park to feed the squirrels (this is definitely more for Daddy than for me!) and to Mothercare to buy me a new car seat and maybe some other goodies.

And tomorrow we're getting a visit from Uncle Mario, Aunty Vicky, Emily, Ava and Maddison, so look out West London!!

More later...

Movin' on

Hi readers,

Well, quick update on my week - my am I picking things up this week!

First off, I'm starting to get the hang of waving. If I was to describe my technique, I'd say delicate and elegant (like the Queen) but with my own personal little twist. Pics to follow once Daddy gets his act together with the camera... : )

Secondly, my crawling is improving, still going backwards better than forwards, but I decided to give forwards a go this morning and got to the edge of the bed in 3 quick moves! Kept daddy on his toes anyway!

And tonight I surprised them both by switching tables on their "hide your face behind a cloth (or something), then pull the cloth out of the way and saying BOO!" game... I've not quite nailed the "BOO!" bit so I let them say it but I kept hiding my face and pulling the cloth away all by myself. Sometimes I'm so clever I amaze myself... ; )

Off to the land of nod now, no photos today so i'll add one from earlier in the week to keep you amused.

Night,

Sxx

twice in two days

Sunday evening, am safely tucked up in bed, but have briefed the parents on what to say...

Tonight's post was going to be a big list of my likes and dislikes, but I don't think Daddy can be bothered as he's come down with Mummy's cold so won't be long from bed himself...

But I definitely don't like chicken curry (just yet) - they've tried to give it to me three times now, but I'm not stupid and knew to not even touch it by the third attempt, the smell was enough for me thank you very much! Don't get me wrong, I'm not being a prima donna, I'm just getting to know what I like and don't like...

Am also starting to get the hang of saying "dada" now, can't wait to see what's next...

Today's main pic is a nice portrait Daddy took today - the flash was a bit bright, but it's made my blue eyes stand out so I approved. They also got a shot of me "kicking off" which might also get added, but I left the decision up to them.

Until next time, stay safe, and sending love and best wishes to Uncle Peter Levick who's not too well at the moment - so get well soon! (you can see me and Peter here)

Saturday afternoon, lazy weekend

Hi all,

We're having a weekend at home, no guests or visitors planned, just a quiet couple of days relaxing and doing a bit of housework or maybe tidying up the back garden if the weather allows.

Had a lovely week this week, even Dad managed to get home a little earlier than usual and Mary came to visit on Thursday evening.

Mummy and I went "shopping for Samantha" this week and I got lots of fun new things, see photo(s) for evidence!

I'm really getting the hang of this talking lark, got "mama" down to a tee (and sometimes get it too right and say "mamamamama"!) and working on all the variations thereof.

Am currently napping on the oldies' bed, but will no doubt be back in action very shortly (although I'm fighting a sniffly cold and more teeth seem to be giving me gyp).

Bye for now,

Sam and her ghost writer

Happy 60th Birthday Tony!

yesterday...

This weekend we went up to Stickney in Lincolnshire once more to celebrate Grandad Tony's 60th birthday - wow I thought I was doing well to get to 7 months!!

We went up on Friday and Mum & Dad had a take-away for tea, but then I had a restless night so they didn't sleep so well (sorry) - think it's toothy peg no. 4 finally making an appearance in my top row. Fingers crossed...

We stayed at Anthea and Tony's again and saw all the usual suspects, but this time the house had a big tent in the garden for people to dance in and there was also a smaller "beer tent" where the grown ups could help themselves to as much beer as they could drink without falling over...

Daddy played lots of football with Joseph on Saturday afternoon so there's a photo from there, on here, and also a pic of me modeling my summer hat (again) and maybe one or two other gems for your enjoyment.

And that's about all for now as it's late and Daddy (who is todays designated typist) is tired out... poor Daddy.

Night night,

Samantha

Bank holiday comes six times a year,

Days of enjoyment to which everyone cheers!

It's "Moon day", and yet Daddy's off work - nice! We've had a very busy weekend which started on Friday with Daddy being out at a gig until the wee small hours, then on Saturday Mummy's friend Julie came to stay from a place called Harrogate.

In the afternoon I had a nap whilst the grown-ups had some coffee and cake, then we did a quick tour of the Bunny Park. Daddy says we also saw a film crew who were making a film called Nowhere Boy about John Lennon (whoever he is)... On Saturday evening, Mummy had a well deserved night out with Julie starting with some food in Northfields and ending up in the same place Daddy was on Friday watching a band called Doves. Hi to Dave, Sam, Jay and Erin, Jimi, Jez, Andy, Sara and especially Alice...

On Sunday we went to see Uncle Phil and Aunty Debbie and their family and friends at a barbecue in Windsor. Corrin and Izzy I already know, but I met loads of new faces including Tom, Nicky and their lovely daughter Molly, Julie, Marcus and their children, Jasmine, Dominic and Louisa. Photos today from below...

And one last thing for now - I am seven!.... months young today.

Bye for now,

Sam
