Evening all,
Well, it's been a busy few days... Mum and Dad had Friday / Monday off so we could all go to Lincolnshire for Grandma Anthea's 60th Birthday celebrations which (compared to Grandad Tony's last year) were pretty understated, but lovely!!
We went up on Friday and had a pretty good journey, but I was starting to feel under the weather even then, which only got worse as the day wore on with me getting hotter and hotter and my cheeks got redder etc... : (
Saturday was a busy day with Dad taking me out for a walk / sleep around the locale in the morning, followed by the full Lewis / Mullin / Baines 'massive' in attendance for an official family / birthday photo shoot after lunch. Talk about herding cats... but 'the man' did well with eleven of us to organise and I look forward to seeing the results at some point soon. Don't worry, I'll share one with you once I've fully approved my 'good side'.
Aaaanyway that was good fun, then we set off for the Royal Oak of New Bolingbroke for a lovely meal. I had spag bol (despite my impending illness) and there were balloons everywhere!
Saturday evening I got "iller" and I had a really rough night coughing and spluttering my way through a very broken nights sleep. Mummy was a star as usual and helped me 'make it through the night' but I really wasn't feeling myself AT ALL...
Sunday was relatively quiet in comparison but I went for a drive with Ma and Pa to get me some much needed daytime kip and we had another run 'round Grandma / Grandpa's back garden which was fun. Photos to follow soon...
Then came Monday and our traumatic journey home where I slept (pre-lunch) for all of ten minutes then didn't go back off until after a pretty unsuccessful break for lunch. The post lunch sleep wasn't much better then I got all stressed / tired / hungry (?) / generally fed up for the rest of the way home which cheered the folks up no end.
We made pretty good time home, but by now I was so under the weather Mum rang the docs again and managed to get me a 4.30pm appointment only to find out I have (another) underlying infection which amounts to a lack of sleep / appetite and the need for anti-biotics. The doc said i seemed like a strong sort as he doesn't see me that often but it sounded like I needed some medical back-up to help shift whatever it was that was ailing me...
Tonight it's Wednesday and I'm no better (despite it looking that way for a while yesterday) and I have, on occasion, been unable to keep my lunch down and have been chucking up left right and centre. Daddy made it home in time for milk and tucking me in to bed, but just as I went off, my milk (and yoghurt from my tea) came back out sat high speed. Mmmm nice. Not.
So - more tales of woe shortly - and wish me well if you can spare the time...
Lots of love and stuff,
Samantha
